Who is Jai’s real mother in Emmerdale?
Jai’s biological mother in Emmerdale is Georgia Sharma.
She first appeared on the soap in 2011.
Her character was portrayed by actress Trudie Goodwin.
However, it was announced the role of Georgia was recast in 2023 and will be played by Lin Blakley.
EastEnders fans will recognise Lin, as she played Pam Coker in the BBC soap.
Who is Jai’s real father in Emmerdale?
It is unknown who Jai’s biological father was.
It was revealed that Jai is the product of a one-night stand between Georgia and an unknown man.
His father Rishi later adopted him in October 1975.
Rishi raised Jai as his own alongside Jai’s siblings Nikhil and Priya.
After discovering he was adopted, Jai had been desperate for answers on who his biological father was.
Rishi and Jai were at loggerheads before the son’s wedding to Laurel, when Jai felt he wasn’t being told everything about his parentage.
Laurel’s son Arthur attempted to repair the strained relationship between Rishi and Jai before the wedding but his attempts were in vain.
Rishi was later left feeling depressed, as he realised his relationship with Jai was damaged.
However, Jai was left taken aback when a taxi arrived at Mulberry Cottage and Georgia emerged from it.
Jai’s shock turned to anger and he demanded his mother return home.
Laurel tried to mend the rift within the family and attempted to convince Jai to resolve the feud, but his feelings and decisions remained unreadable.
Jai’s troubles seemed to evaporate when he saw Laurel descend the stairs in her wedding dress.
Their joy was dampened by the arrival of Rishi and Georgia, and it was revealed to Jai who the identity of his biological father was.
It resulted in Jai pacing restlessly, comprehending the shocking revelation, and Rishi becoming defensive.
Tensions escalated between Jai and his parents resulting in an argument and Rishi stormed out.
A frustrated Jai reassured Georgia he wanted her at the wedding and he allowed Rishi to be there as well.
However, in the church, Georgia left a message for Rishi but it’s unknown if he goes to the wedding.
